Three Women,
one Vision.

As parents we know only too well how hard it can be to provide our children with all that they need. Our aim is to support local parents to cope with the difficulties they face, by helping them to provide their children with the best possible start to their own lives. We believe that every child has a right to have its basic needs met with dignity.

Shona is a local running coach who has been coaching beginner and intermediate runners for well over a decade, and hundreds of women in the Sevenoaks area have been introduced to running by her.  She is co-founder and co-facilitator of the award-winning Up and Running group, which is aimed at women suffering from anxiety and depression.  Her contact with Children’s Services began with a Christmas gift campaign which was supported by the members of the running groups and the wider community, and developed into the beginnings of Friends for Families.  Shona is a mum to 2 boys and lives in Sevenoaks.
